I played some Dirt 3(360) yesterday and it’s pretty fun even though there’s no way in hell I am getting Platinum medals on the Gymkata(or whatever) Tutorial(I got gold n a few) and drift races make me want to rage quit. I also started watching Dexter Season 1 last night. I’m only 2 episodes in and it’s already one of the best shows I ever watched. Anyway let’s see what kind of cool shit we can find today.

The fourth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, called “Battle Lines,” premieres on Friday, September 16, at 8pm with a double episode featuring a pitched battle for Mon Calamari. There’s also a browser based MMO called  Clone Wars Adventures, from LucasFilm and Sony Online that links the TV show and game together(mostly).

We got a situation! Abercrombie & Fitch has offered money to the cast of Mtv’s Jersey Shore(The Situation primarily) to stop wearing their clothes. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! hahahahahahahah! LMAO! hhahahahahaha!

Get ready for more wacky comedy madness with the premiere of IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA’s 7th season. The show starts up again Thursday September 15th on FX. Kitten Mittens FTW!

New movie poster for Twilight: Breaking Dawn. Really? It’s only Part 1? So after this stupid movie there’s still another stupid movie to come? WHAT IN THE FUCK PEOPLE!? Stop watching this shit!!!!!!! Especially you 30+ year old women with raging vagina madness for these emo retards and sparkly vampire gayness.

New trailer from EA’s revamp of the SSX snowboarding series which will be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in January.

Bruce Willis will be back for Die Hard 5: Please Die Already. This time John McLane will reportedly be going to Russia and as we already know he is never going to actually die.

Filming for The Wolverine will be starting up in Vancouver come November. Darren Aranofsky(Black Swan) is no longer directing but James Mangold(3:10 to Yuma) is now singed on to take the helm. “There were a number of directors who wanted to do this because we have the best script yet, but his take was the strongest,” Jackman told MTV News speaking of Mangold during San Diego Comic-Con this summer. “He’s phenomenal, he’s going to really knock this one out of the park.” We’ll see Hugh Jackass. We’ll see.

New trailer for Resident Evil….er Underworld 4: Awakenings. It will be in 3D and in theaters January 20th, 2012. You’ll never hear me complaining about Kate Beckinsale in leather!

Nicholas Cage and Nicole Kidman are starring in a new movie called Trespass which will be directed by Joel Schumacher(Batman & Robin). I’m gonna watch it just to see how completely over the top ridiculous it is!

Red Hot Chili Peppers released a new video for their song The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie. Their new album, I’m With You comes out August 30th. In conjunction with the albums release the Chili Peppers will also be broadcasting a concert to local movie theaters that same night in which they will play the entire I’m With You album along with some select past hits. Check here to see what movie theaters have been announced so far.

Shula’s Steak Houses announced today it has deployed the first set of iPads featuring Hospitality Social’s new interactive menu and wine list application – Hospitality Pads. Hospitality Pads were launched at the 2011 National Restaurant Association show in Chicago a few months ago in May. Shula’s Steak House is the first national steak house chain to launch the iPad wine lists which revolutionizes the wine experience while dining. Shula’s decided on the national roll-out of Hospitality Pads after successfully testing it in its Naples, Florida location.

“This latest innovation reflects Shula’s commitment to providing the best possible dining experience to our guests,” said Dave Shula, president, Shula’s Steakhouses, LLLP. “It offers an elegant, engaging and easy way for our customers to choose the right wine reflecting their unique tastes that also complements their meal.”

Hospitality Social’s application caters to both the novice and the wine enthusiast. The application will guide customers through selecting a wine and it also recommends the best wine pairings with each entrée on the menu. It enables guests to make informed choices and select wines with confidence even when you don’t know shit about wine. Hospitality Pads feature tasting notes, pictures, and scores for wines on an iPad. You can select wines based on food pairings, flavor preferences, regions, scoring and other criteria. This is the first such application combining an interactive menu with wine list food pairings, social networking and a rewards network. It enables restaurant patrons to get in-depth wine information right at the dining table when they are about to make a wine choice and the Hospitality Social application will enable Shula customers to track wines they order by emailing them the name of the wine they enjoyed during their meal. This is cool shit and I am sure it will be making its way into more and more restaurants in the near future.

Up and coming rapper Yelawolf has announced that he will release his debut full length studio album, Radioactive, on October 25th, 2011. Take a listen to the first single called Hard White (Up In The Club) featuring Lil Jon. Yelawolf  just completed a successful run of dates on The Vans Warped Tour as well as a string of European shows with the Wu Tang Clan. Kind of an Eminem clone, no?

Naughty Dog Community Manager Arne Meyer says that Uncharted 3 is currently too big for a 50GB PS3 Blu Ray disc. “Uncharted 2 barely made it to 25GB, while Naughty Dog is going over 50GB this time, for Uncharted 3. But in the end we’ll be under 50. We’ll be one disc.”  What this means of course is that there will now be compressed audio and video to make it fit on one disc as well as the obvious content being held back for DLC purposes.

Ridley Scott who directed the now timeless classic Alien in 1979 and has recently gone back to that world again with the upcoming 3D Fox film Prometheus(in theaters June 8th, 2012 has committed to direct and produce a sequel/prequel/reboot/something of his other groundbreaking sci-fi film from 1982, Blade Runner. This is the only news available on the project at the moment. There is no script, no actors, no nothing. It’s just been confirmed that he has signed up to make this movie in the future.

Advice Dog’s advice for 8/18:

That’s it for today guys and gals! Yes I am well aware that the PS3 will now offer NFL Sunday Ticket or whatever it’s called. It’s very cool and a great option and all but really at a price of $340 it’s unreasonable for me and probably a lot of other gamers. We bitch about $5 DLC for Christs sake. The pricing is actually one of the reasons I never got satellite TV to begin with. The only thing on there I would want is the NFL package and it was too expensive just justify switching from Time Warner. I also didn’t include the Borderlands 2 teaser trailer because there’s no gameplay and really it was quite boring to watch. I got to go make me a smoothie, work out while watching Dexter and get ready for Beer on the Balcony. See ya tomorrow!
